Pearson Dictionaries SA is a division of Pearson Education South Africa (PESA), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Maskew Miller Longman Group (MML), the country's largest educational publisher.

Pearson Education publishes, sources and markets education, reference and lifestyle resources in both print and electronic form to promote personal and professional development for all ages and literacy levels.

Maskew Miller Longman

Maskew Miller was founded in South Africa in 1893. The company merged with Longman South Africa almost 100 years later and is today the largest and most successful educational publisher in Africa. MML's product range (incorporating PESA) extends from pre-school and home education to adult literacy, from primary and high school to technical and academic, and from corporate to individual management development. MML itself is the largest schools publisher in South Africa.

The Maskew Miller Longman Group is owned jointly by the CTP/Caxton Group and Pearson Education (a company in the Pearson plc group).

CTP/Caxton

CTP/Caxton publishes a number of newspapers and magazines and is one of the largest commercial printers in South Africa. It also manufactures a range of stationery products and produces packaging for a wide range of users.
